A list of current staff and their qualifications is available on request, and on display in the office. The staff allocated to support our clients will be chosen to match their skills with our client’s needs. In addition to the direct support staff, the management team work 40 hours a week and the Registered Manager is on call to help and support staff and service users. The Registered Manager is part of the care team to supervise new staff, to pass on good practice and embedding positive cultures to our staff. Staffing levels may be changed at the discretion of the Manager if there is any changes in our Service Users needs. Care staff work on a rota system which ensures that the service is staffed by the appropriate number of skill mix, including weekends and public holidays. Staff are carefully selected for their caring disposition, reliability, integrity, skills, friendliness, and professionalism. We have robust policies and procedures for selection and recruitment of staff. They are all subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, otherwise known as a police check, and two written references are always obtained prior to meeting any of our clients. Staff must also complete 3 months probationary period to prove to management that they are able to fulfil their defined role within the organisation.
All new staff will complete the Care Certificate that follows the CQC’s guidelines. The programme covers the CQC’s 15 Fundamental Standards of care, of which new care staff must complete to a satisfactory level and to test their competency within the role.
